- “Imagination Over Reality” is an inspiring, collaborative mural between developers, a nonprofit and a rock icon—creating a whole lot of good! AFH and the legendary multi-media artist David Byrne created a 120' mural that can be publicly viewed along the interior public passageway in the lobby of CRISPR Therapeutics' HQ in South Boston. Our Photography and Video Production Studio captured the story and documented this unlikely partnership, that keeps on giving! - "The skill is just amazing! You'd be lucky to get this from any artist and here you're getting it from young artists who are doing incredible work!" —David Byrne, Artist Watch- Client- Tishman Speyer, Breakthrough Properties with Bellco Capital - Location- Home to CRISPR Therapeutics’ U.S. Research and Development headquarters, 105 W 1st St., Boston, MA - Dimension- 120' - Studios- Painting, Video Production, Photography
- Commissioned by LLMDesign for CRISPR Therapeutics, AFH's Painting Studio designed and executed a large-scale mural for CRISPR’s new seven-story lab building at 105 W First Street in South Boston, adjacent to AFH. The theme: water. AFH Lead Teen Artist Claire Lovett learned that water is the building block of DNA. Inspired by the movements of the double helix, Claire drew an analogy to how fish move through water. She was amazed when her concept was chosen by the client—“It’s so cool to have something [on a wall] that you made that the [CRISPR] workers will be able to look at [each day]!” Learn More- Client- LLMDesign for CRISPR Therapeutics - Dimensions- 60'x10' - Location- 105 W First St., Boston, MA - Studios- Painting
- Our Painting Studio created a compelling narrative in the form of a mural for State Street’s Global Advisors’ office located off of A Street Park near AFH. The mural cleverly turns traditional graph format into a trellis that holds a beautifully-cared-for climbing vine representing the growth of their stock. This mural adds to the existing story of the “Fearless Girl” and notable female figures featured throughout their Conference Center, symbolizing women who are taking charge today and inspiring the next generation of women leaders. That's some mighty teen impact from one project! - Featured Teen Artists from back (L-R): Monica Tran, Yumiko Chow, Irma Guerra, Brennan Commisso, Claire Lovett, and Aleister Caro, with Painting Studio Director and Mentor Gary Chen. - Client- State Street Global Advisors - Dimensions- 32.5’ x 9’ - Location- Channel Center Building, 1 Iron St, Boston, MA 02210 - Studios- Painting
- In celebration of Hanukkah, BXP featured the luminous print Candy Candelabra by AFH teen artist Tiesha Semedo in the windows of the Prudential Center. It was then handed off to our Photography Studio to shoot in parts at high-res and then meticulously stitch back together for it to scale onto the huge windows of the Prudential Center.
